“Every 47 minutes, a women is diagnosed with HIV in the United States.”
Did you know that?
Did you know that March 10 is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day?
The Red Pump Project Says:
“While great progress has been made in the area of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, women still represent 27% of all new AIDS diagnoses, with African-American women accounting for 66% of that group. In observance of NWGHAAD, we would like for you to join our 2014Rock the Red Pump® (#RocktheRedPump) Campaign! The campaign’s goal is to generate conversation both online and offline about the issue of HIV/AIDS and how it affects women.”
Bloggers can participate in the event by registering and blogging on March 10 about what makes HIV/AIDs awareness important to you.
Everyone else can participate by wearing red pumps on March 10 to raise awareness, uploading photos to the Red Pump Project Facebook page, and using the official #RockTheRedPump hashtag!
So mark you calendars and get ready to rock those red pumps on March 10 🙂
